I had the bun bo hue which was delicious. There's a really nice outdoor seating area which is about twice the indoor dining area. So don't be put off by a full house in the front of house. My friend had the vermicelli chicken salad. Lots of chicken. There is a 1.35% surcharge on credit cards.
The food was so good, I especially loved the spring rolls and chicken pho (the chargrilled chicken was a nice touch). I also tried the Vietnamese coffee ☕️ a little strong to my taste but the flavour was really good (I could taste the freshness, in fact everything tasted fresh and yummy 😋) oh yes also the lychee drink was so good.
Food - 5/5 ( freshness and taste both)
Service - 5/5 (The staff was so nice)
Atmosphere- 5/5 (nice pictures and feels of Vietnam, lamps, etc)
Had dinner here a few days ago. The service was non-existent but I wouldn't have minded that if the food was great.
Unfortunately we were served stodgy fried rice, rice paper rolls with very strangely-textured (defrosted?) chicken, and the tiniest & blandest fried spring rolls I've ever had (though we did love the fresh lettuce and mint that came with them). Was excited to have a Vietnamese iced coffee but this too was disappointing - very watery and weak.
We didn't try the Pho - which might be great - but based on the low quality of the other dishes, I probably won't return to give it a go. This place does seem to be pretty busy and popular with locals - so maybe we just caught it on a bad day.
This is one of my favourite casual-go-to-quick-fix-Vietnamese Street food places! Love it! During warmish weather, it is a perfect place to sit at the back with friends and family. Colder days are not that bad either as they have it all set up to keep you warm. Atmosphere outside is great!
Rice paper rolls, spring rolls, Banh Mi, Fried rice and prawn dumplings are my favourite! I forgot to mention that the corn pudding is delicious too! It reminds me of something my mum used to make when I was a child. I introduced this place to my sister and in a week, she nagged me to go twice! Though I love this place and pop in when I am in the area, I could only give it 4 stars for three reasons - limited menu selection, not a good wine list and sometimes staff may be forgetful. But don’t let it discourage you as the food they have it still worth trying.
This place is so Underrated. I have been here before , the pho is authentic . I love love my calamari salt and pepper. I will definitely return and try more dishes that others are having , can’t wait .
Average pho when you compare it to what you get in Springvale. Broth’s flavour is actually not bad, a bit heavy on the cinnamon to my liking, noodles feel like the dry ones that you re-hydrate as opposed to fresh one, toppings alright, weird tasting hoisin sauce though. The bun was below average, no flavour, chewy beef. Hard pass for me
We have had really nice food when eating in at So Pho So Good. However we just ordered delivery, and the pork in the broken rice looked very old and unappetizing. Decided not to eat it. Disappointing.
Very busy Vietnamese restaurant and can see why, awesome tasting Pho.
Had the Pork Belly Pho which was a special, tasted great and thoroughly enjoyed.
Gave the Vietnamese coffee a go as well, definitely worth trying
Look forward to trying some of the other dishes on the menu
